Novembers AGM

The President welcomed members to the November meeting of Ditchingham WI. Apologies were received from Jenny P, Barbara, Pam, Anne, Helen, and Maureen.  Birthday plants were handed to Jenny, Lucie, Margaret and the President gave herself one.  The President reported that Ditchingham had won the Competition at the Group meeting - a poem on housework - Anne Arnold was congratulated on her composition and Pam Lack for her performing it on the evening.  Invites were read out from various Wi’s and boards sent round.  The Christmas meal has been booked at Browston Hall on December 10th at 12.30.   Next years programme was sent round for members to add their names for Teas, Birthday Posies and Vote of Thanks.
The Annual Meeting then continued.  The President said this year had been very challenging with the passing of past and current members and also close family of members.   We are looking forward to the Centenary year with lots happening.  Barbara was presented with a plant as she has retired from the committee and a plant as handed the Beryl who has decided to stand down as Treasurer but is staying on the committee.  Pam Lack was welcomed onto the committee.  Pam Cooper is taking on the role of Treasurer.  The meeting continued with teas served by Viv and helpers and the afternoon finished with a game of pass the parcel and lots of laughter.
